SUMMARY FOR BUSINESS SYSTEMS ARCHITECT

Based in the U.S.

Allurion Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Architect to serve as a strategic partner to our Technical Operations organization. This role acts as a critical bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment between business processes and enterprise systems.

The successful candidate will build strong, collaborative relationships with department stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of their business processes, operational objectives, and technology landscape. Reporting to the Sr. Director of R&D and Technical Operations, this individual will proactively identify opportunities where technology can drive efficiency, scalability, and measurable business value across workflows and cross-functional operations.

This position will lead the ongoing support, optimization, and continuous improvement of our ERP system (SAP Business) and Digital Health Platform applications. Responsibilities include system enhancements, process optimization, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring system performance aligns with evolving business needs.

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong, trusted partnerships across the organization to understand business-critical processes, strategic priorities, and long-term objectives.
  • Translate business needs and strategic vision into scalable, technology-driven solutions and deliverables.
  • Provide ongoing application support and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the business’s technology ecosystem, including:
    • SAP Business (ERP)
    • MasterControl (QMS, MES)
    • SQL
    • Power BI
    • Azure/AWS
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance data integrity, collaboration, and integration—both internally and with external partners.
  • Ensure Finance’s systems architecture supports business security, continuity, disaster recovery, and long-term scalability.
  • Champion a data-driven mindset, ensuring timely access to accurate and actionable insights.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with SAP and other strategic technology partners.
  • Continuously assess the technology landscape, identifying gaps and aligning systems with evolving business needs.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director of R&D and Technical Operations to define and execute annual technology roadmaps.
  • Lead and oversee system development, integration, and continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise business systems and the Digital Health Platform in collaboration with external partners.

 

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3+years of results-driven experience supporting business functions and technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of core manufacturing operation processes.
  • Hands-on experience supporting SAP Business
  • Experience with API integrations across enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure and management
  • Proven experience leading and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with ticketing/support systems and delivering customer-focused support.
  • Exposure to application or web development is a plus.
  • Interest in or capability to oversee Digital Health Platform initiatives as part of future growth opportunities.

Sustaining Manufacturing Engineer

 

DUTIES:

Apply a process and data driven approach to solving manufacturing challenges. Lead root cause investigations that identify, implement and monitor solutions for effectiveness. Develop and improve assembly methods, fixtures, equipment, and tooling for current processes. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans, systems, and procedures for equipment including spare parts requirements and tracking performance against those plans. Trouble shoot and repair production equipment to ensure production continuity. Specify, source, and procure equipment as required. Conduct IQ/OQ/PQ and verification and validation activities to qualify process changes and introduce new equipment. Create, update and improve manufacturing processes to improve yields and reduce waste. Draft and execute project plans with respect to tasks, timelines, and budget. Develop and maintain PFMEA to ensure that process risks are properly mitigated. Operate computer, laboratory and manufacturing equipment as needed to develop or improve processes.

SCHEDULE:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

SALARY:

$102,000 - $110,000 per year

REQUIREMENTS:

Main Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Graduate Research Assistant, Operations Research Intern, Business Development Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or related technical role where required experience gained.
 

Special Skills:  Also requires one (1) year of experience in the following:

  • Manufacturing engineering as front-line support in medical device or other similarly regulated industry.
  • Hands on development and operation of manufacturing fixtures, machinery, and laboratory equipment.
  • CAD.
  • Regulated quality management system environment (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or FDA QSR).
  • Define functional requirements, oversee SAT/FAT, and write and execute validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) for equipment.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, R&D, IT, and quality teams to design, deploy, and document manufacturing systems and process improvements.
  • Develop and ensure Quality Systems Management (QSM) including PFMEAs, CAPAs, NCRs, and root-cause analysis are in alignment with Lean Six Sigma, ISO, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Technical communication and attention to detail and documentation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated data systems to track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) supporting data-driven decision-making and long-term process optimization.
  • Automate manual processes with emphasis on data automation, continuous KPI monitoring, and preventive maintenance oversight.

  • The residence time for each AGBS is variable with an average observed residence time of 15.3 weeks.
